I really dreaded doing this, and for a while, I just put it off.
It's the second to last week of school, and I only had 1 more assignment left to do.... My Algebra 2 Unit 10 test. Now, I'm a procrastinator, and I get scared to do things, so I just don't do them. However, I was running out of time; I needed to get this test done.
Let me tell you how it went down...
As you all know, I do online school, so I have a lot of time and flexibility. I like taking my tests at night. See, the tests and quizzes are timed, so I feel like nighttime is a time where I have no interruptions and I can just focus better overall.
So I started the test, and it was pretty easy using my notes and everything. I understood most of the questions, and if not, I just went back through my lessons and relearned whatever I didn't understand. Everything was going great! Until....
At the end of the test, we have to submit pictures of our work. For some odd reason, my computer would not open the files thingamajig for me to attach pictures. I was soooo frustrated, and I was running out of time on the test. I had to use the embedded camera feature on the test, which was so wacky because I had to hold my notebook sideways and awkwardly position my lamp. It was terrible. I had to write a "sorry" note to my teacher because I wasn't sure if she'd be able to read it.
However, I also had a backup plan. I put a link to a Google Doc in the submission box below the badly taken pictures. Once the test was submitted on its own from the time running out, I was able to restart my computer. And FINALLY, I was able to put the pictures in the Google Doc, so that my teacher could see them.
As a result of all those troubles and hardships, I got 100% on the test. Yes, I fully aced it.
What I learned: It's okay to procrastinate on schoolwork as long as you know the material. Make sure your computer can upload files before doing something that requires files to be uploaded. Also I'm surprisingly not that bad at math.
REALITY CHECK:
Effort: 10/10
